General Warranty Conditions

The REO-SMART Limited Warranties last for the number of years stated in the specific invoice for each product, starting from the date of purchase. The warranty is non-transferable and only applies to the original purchaser of the product.

What will REO-SMART do to correct the problem?

Within the first year from the date of purchase, REO-SMART will examine the product and decide, at its sole discretion, if it's covered under limited warranty. REO-SMART will determine whether to ship the replacement part to the customer before or after receiving the damaged part from the customer. REO-SMART will cover the cost of shipping for the new part to the customer with a return label included for the defective part. After receiving the part, REO-SMART will determine whether the part is under the limited warranty. If the part is determined to be a manufacturer’s defect, no cost will be sent to the customer. However, if the damaged part is not covered under limited warranty, the cost of shipping both ways and the cost of the new part will be billed to the customer. REO-SMART may or may not return the part in question to the customer. If a customer physically brings the defective part into the REO-SMART headquarter (Contact Us), the cost of shipping can be waived. The defective part become the property of REO-SMART. If the item is no longer sold by REO-SMART, REO-SMART will provide an appropriate replacement. REO-SMART will decide, in its sole discretion, what constitutes an appropriate replacement. If a product has warranty that is covered for more than 1 year, the cost of replacement will be divided accordingly between REO-SMART and the customer if the defect is covered under the limited warranty. If it is not covered, the customer will bear the cost of the shipping and replacement part.

Conditions for the Limited Warranties

The limited warranties are valid from the original date of purchase of the product. In order to rely on this limited warranty, the original receipt is required as the proof of purchase. The limited warranties do not apply to products that have been stored or assembled incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or wrong cleaning products. The limited warranties do not apply to normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impact or accidents. The limited warranties do not apply if products have been placed outdoors or in a humid environment. The limited warranty applies only to the original purchaser and where the product is used - product is for residential use only (unless otherwise stated). Coverage terminates if the original purchaser sells or transfers the REO-SMART product.

To be able to claim the limited warranty you need to follow the specific care instructions for every product. You will find all care instructions with or on the product.

General legal rights:

Some States and Provinces do not allow the limitation or exclusion of incidental or consequential damage, so this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from country to country, province to province or state to state.

Save your sales receipt as proof of purchase! Proof of purchase is required by the original purchaser for the limited warranties to be valid.


How to Claim Your Warranty?

  1. Call REO-SMART at 1-877-580-7899 or email at info@reo-smart.com.
  2. Attach necessary documents, picture, and the claims form fax or email it to REO-SMART with a copy of your receipt.
  3. A REO-SMART representative will contact you in 24-48 hours regarding your claim and let you know one of three outcomes:

1. The product or part is verified to be under the limited 1 year warranty. A replacement part or the whole product will be shipped to you at no additional cost.

2. The product or part is not under the 1 Year Limited Warranty. Due to various reasons provided by REO-SMART.

The product or part cannot be verified at this time. REO-SMART will then send a new part or product for replacement. Upon receiving the new shipment, a shipping label will be included for you to return the defective part in the box you just received. Upon the receipt of the defective part by REO-SMART, we will determine whether the part or product is indeed defective under the 1 Year Limited Warranty term. If it is, there will be no additional cost. If it is not, the cost of the replacement part or product will be charged or bill to you at a later time.

1 – Year Limited Warranty

What is covered?
This 1 year limited warranty covers the REO-SMART products against defects in material and workmanship in the following components: Metallic frame and wheels • Table/Desk Tops •Moving mechanisms •Memory foam or regular padding in the chair. •This limited warranty applies to domestic use only.

How long does the coverage last?
This limited warranty is valid for the purchase of the REO-SMART products for 1 year from the date of purchase by the original purchaser.


2 – Year Limited Warranty

What is covered?
This 2 year limited warranty covers the REO-SMART products against defects in material and workmanship in the following components: •Metallic frame and wheels • Table/Desk Tops •Moving mechanisms •Memory foam or regular padding in the chair. •This limited warranty applies to domestic use only. If a product is covered by the limited warranty with in the first year from the date of purchase, REO-SMART will cover the cost of the replacement plus shipping. If the warranty is claimed after the first year, the total cost of replacement, including shipping, will be prorated 1 year from the date of purchase.
